WHAT IS LAKECITY SENIORS?

LakeCity Works is excited to be part of the Home Services Nova Scotia pilot project; a province wide initiative rolled out in June 2018 by eleven Directions Council member agencies. These agencies are working to create training and employment opportunities for individuals facing barriers to employment, by delivering non-medical home care services for Nova Scotians age 65 and older.

The one-year provincial pilot project is intended to provide a premium senior service that will help seniors age in place as outlined in the Nova Scotia Shift Strategy. Service categories will include housekeeping, meal preparation and companionship. Yard work, including snow shoveling services will also be offered, based on agency resourcing and service demand.

As a Directions Council member agency, LakeCity Works prides itself as a trusted community partner, who delivers quality services with lots of heart. Our team of employees are enthusiastic and trained in service delivery as well as First Aid, WHMIS and Food Handlers courses. Our timely and friendly services are affordable and supported by senior customers who believe in the power of community.
