What is the LakeCity TinyHome Lottery?
This summer, through the support of the Federal Government’s Canada Summer Jobs Program, we will be working with 2 students who will help us build a Tiny House. The 3-seaso, 20" x 8"tiny home will be built on site over the course of 8 weeks with support from the Lake City Woodworking Team and volunteers. The lucky winner will be drawn on October 5th! There will also be a second place prize of a set of outdoors plastic chairs made from recycled plastics (valued at $2500) and a third place prize of a handmade wooden display cabinet (valued at $1725).
Why are we building a tiny home?
Our goals with this project are twofold:
1) Create awareness of the lack of affordable housing for persons with mental illness
2) Generate funds to extend our services to youth with mental illness

Maybe your company would like to volunteer for a day, perhaps you have items that can be used in the Tiny Home like electrical & plumbing fixtures, flooring, building supplies. It’ll take a lot of support to get this done and any help is welcome.
